Social Impact Video Production in Auckland

Video production for NGOs, nonprofits and ethical brands who need authentic storytelling that connects with real people and drives real outcomes.

I work with organisations across New Zealand who are doing work that matters. Mental health campaigns. Community recovery stories. Case studies that show funders what their money actually achieves. Content for ethical brands who want substance over polish.

What I Do

Every project is different but most social impact work falls into these categories.

Case Study Videos

Show funders and stakeholders what your work actually achieves. Real people sharing real outcomes. Evidence of impact that reports and statistics cannot capture.

See example: Mental Health Awareness Week

Campaign Videos

Awareness campaigns, advocacy content and fundraising videos that move people to action. Multiple formats for different platforms from broadcast to social.

See example: CHUR Suicide Prevention

Lived Experience Stories

Sensitive personal stories filmed with trauma-informed practices. Mental health journeys, recovery stories and voices that need to be heard with dignity and care.

See example: Nōku te Ao

Documentary-Style Corporate

Authentic interviews and behind-the-scenes content for organisations who want real over scripted. Staff stories, leadership profiles and brand films with substance.

See example: Fletcher Steel Campaign

Ethical Brand Content

For brands doing genuine good who want their story told authentically. Sustainability initiatives, social enterprises and purpose-driven businesses.

See example: Chorus Waiheke Fibre

Training and Internal Video

Staff training, onboarding content and internal communications. Professional quality without the corporate stiffness.

Who I Work With

NGOs and nonprofits who need to show the real impact of their work. Grant applications, annual reports, awareness campaigns and fundraising content.

Government and public sector organisations communicating policy, community initiatives and public health messages.

Health and mental health organisations creating campaigns that require sensitivity, cultural competency and trauma-informed practices.

Ethical brands who want authentic storytelling over polished corporate content. Sustainability, social enterprise and purpose-driven businesses.

Any organisation with a real story who wants authentic content for broadcast, web, social or cinema screens.

If your work involves real people and you want your audience to feel something, this is the right approach.

Scope

Every project is scoped individually. Here is what social impact video production typically involves at different scales in New Zealand.

Simple projects

Single subject, one location, one filming day. Case study or testimonial video. 2 to 3 minute finished video.

Campaign projects

Multiple subjects or locations. Series of videos plus social cuts. Higher production values and more complex logistics.

Full documentaries

Extended filming timelines, multiple locations, broadcast finishing. Projects that require significant time and care.

I work with registered charities to find efficiencies and make the most of limited budgets. Read more about NGO video production.

How It Works

1. Conversation

We talk about what you are trying to achieve, who the story is for and what success looks like. No obligation.

2. Brief and quote

You share your requirements, I propose an approach and budget. Clear scope before anything starts. Guide to briefing a filmmaker.

3. Pre-production

Subject selection, pre-interviews, logistics and scheduling. For sensitive content this includes proper preparation and support structures. How we approach lived experience filming.

4. Production

Filming happens. One day or multiple days depending on scope. One-day vs multi-day productions.

5. Post-production

Editing, colour grading, sound mixing. You review drafts and provide feedback. Two revision rounds included. What happens in post-production.

6. Delivery

Final video in whatever formats you need. Broadcast, web, social or cinema screens. Files ready to use.
