What kind of projects do you take on?
Most of my work sits where documentary and brand meet. I film campaigns, case studies, lived experience stories, internal communications and short documentaries for organisations who care about people and impact.
Do you work with agencies or directly with organisations?
Both. I often collaborate with agencies as a director or cinematographer and I also work directly with communications and marketing teams. I am happy to join an existing creative process or help you shape the story from the beginning.
Do you work with corporate clients?
Yes. I bring the same documentary approach to corporate work as I do to social impact projects. The goal is always the same: find the human truth and tell it well. Corporate video doesn't have to feel corporate.
How much does a typical project cost?
Costs depend on scope, how many shoot days we need and how many final edits or versions you require. After a short call about your goals, audience and deliverables I send a clear itemised estimate so you can see exactly where the budget goes.
How long does a project usually take?
A one day shoot with a single film can often be turned around in a few weeks. Larger campaigns or multi story projects may take a few months from first conversation to final delivery. I will always give you a realistic timeline at the proposal stage.
Can you help with scripting and interview questions?
Yes. A big part of my role is helping you clarify what needs to be said and how to make it feel natural for the people on camera. I can work with you on structure, interview prompts and gentle direction so the story feels honest rather than heavily scripted.
We are not used to being on camera. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Most of the people I film are not actors. My focus is on creating a calm set, giving clear but gentle direction and allowing enough time so people can relax and be themselves. This is where the most honest and useful material comes from.
Do you travel outside Auckland?
Yes. I am based in Tāmaki Makaurau but regularly travel around Aotearoa for projects. Travel and accommodation are included transparently in the estimate so you know the full cost before we start.
Can you deliver versions for social and different formats?
Yes. If we plan for it up front I can frame and shoot in a way that works for both widescreen and vertical social formats, and deliver cut downs or alternate lengths for different platforms as part of the package.
